What is this stuff?

Harry enjoyed his first step in the snow today!  He's been waiting a long time for this.  He wasn't quite sure what to do, and he ran back to me as soon as I let him out!  I think he was motivated by watching his big brother, and he eventually worked up the nerve to check it out.
Still a little unsure...

Our fearless explorer...

Truman, on the other hand, had no fear!  I think he must have remembered his first big snow (more like an ice storm) way back in 2007.  Ahh, that was a great 3 days off of school! =)

Look how tiny and cute he was!  And look how young yet still tired I appear! =/

And now I'm off to enjoy a long evening at home followed by a 2 hour sleep-in!!!  =) =) =)

Another Gift

My spectacular, wonderful, fabulous, giving Val Pal at school not only gave me awesome gifts, but she also included toys for the pups!  Thank you, Genia, for your thoughtfulness!  Please enjoy a few (or a lot) photos of the pups and their excitement to receive their early Valentines...

So excited they can hardly stand it!

Truman tries to take BOTH, and Harry doesn't know what to do!

Help me, Mom!

Thanks...I heart (paw) you!

Tru somehow got it from him!

Dad is holding the pink heart to try to get a pic of both!

Much later...they had calmed down and Tru claimed the pink one for his own!  And it's very fitting!

He is such a ham!

I'm cute and I know it...

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

The Dog Park

Ok, so it's not actually a dog park, but it's close enough!  The elementary school in our neighborhood has a huge, open (but gated) area where all the local dogs hang out.  Harry and Tru loooove to go out there and meet new friends every week!  It's usually a big dogs' club, but our little guys fit right in!  Harrison turns into the little guy we know and love but most people don't get to see (a true dog's dog).  And Truman, as usual, plays for a few minutes until he's off exploring a new scent and being the independent guy he's always been (he prefers people)!  Here they are on Friday enjoying the beautiful 75 degree weather!

They loved this pretty girl!

This is the only time he actually enjoys getting some exercise!

He's so tired from running around like a maniac!

Wee little ones...

So a friend of mine from work is thinking about getting a pup!  Oh how I want her to have one!!!!  I just suggested to her a wonderful organization in Austin called Wee Rescue that rescues "wee" dogs who need forever homes!  You'll just melt when you see the available dogs on the site.  Even if you can't adopt a dog, there are other ways to help.  I'm currently/constantly bothering Peter to let us become a foster home, but he keeps shutting me down!  How rude!  How could anyone think 2 is enough?!?

Check out Wee Rescue to see how you can help!!!  In the meantime, here are a few of the available wees:

Are 2 really better than 1?

2 - the number of ornaments Truman has claimed from my mom's Christmas tree

2 - the number of times Truman has invaded my mom's closet and destroyed the Christmas presents

2 - the number of chocolates Truman ate out of my stocking (and has yet to regurgitate...)

2 - the number of lock-ups in the crate for said bad behavior

2 - the number of horns sprouting on Truman's head

0 - the predicited number of times Truman will be invited back to Grandmommy's house for Christmas

*My little angelito Harry is showing his loyalty....every time Truman has gone to lockdown, Harry sits right next to the crate until he gets to come out!  So, let me add to the list:

2 - the number of wings sprouting on Harrison's back

Merry Christmas to all!!!

He knows if you've been bad or good...

And Truman is trying so very hard to be good!!!
But it's kinda hard when there are stockings full of goodies hanging right at nose level!!! ;)

Hmmm, how can I get in there?!?

Darn it!  Why does Mommy always catch me?

Merry Christmas, everyone!  Hope your stockings are full of lots of goodies too! =)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Taking pictures of 2 dogs at the same time is next to impossible.  I feel for you, Sandra, owner of 3!

Luckily, Harry freezes as soon as you put clothes on him---he absolutely hates it!  So I guess he's a good model. ;)

Truman, on the other hand, only works for treats.  And since he's been on his diet, he's starving.  He can't do any of his usual tricks for treats (sit, shake, lie down, high five, roll over)!  All he could do was lunge!!!

If only Tyra had directed this shoot so the boys could practice their smizing and modeling H to T! ;)

Maybe for next year's card! =)
